When you have natural hair, you have to change up your styling tools. You can’t easily glide your hair with a small tooth comb and call it a day. Instead, you may need to invest more time to your hair, but it doesn’t have to be as difficult as you think. Here are 4 styling tools that every natural should have.
1) Denman Brush
This is a MUST. These brushes are all over social media and frankly, they deserve the hype. Not only do denman brushes they allow you to get tangles out of your hair, but they really clump your curls together.
As a result, you have soft and detangled hair. It truly do me wonders when it comes to styling my hair.
2) Hooded Hair Bonnet
The hooded hair bonnet is not only helpful when it comes deep conditioning, but it can also be used as a styling tool.
I’ve mentioned before that my twist-outs can take too long to dry. If I am in a rush however, I will simply put my hooded hair bonnet on and just let my twists dry away.
3) Wide Tooth Comb
Do not comp your hair with those itty bitty small combs you see at the discount store. I repeat, DO NOT. You are literally tearing your thick tresses. Instead, part your hair and make detangling easier with a wide tooth comb. Your hair won’t snag as much and you can even use this comb to fluff your curls out.

4) Silk/Satin Scarf
You may think that a silk scarf isn’t a really a styling tool, but it really can be. When it comes to laying down your edges or having a low slick back puff, I apply my silk scarf to get that sleek look.
